Bring your students to ExplorationWorks! and fan that spark of curiosity into a passion for learning! Students and teachers alike will get hands-on with science and ask, “I wonder why?” when they explore the engaging exhibits in ExplorationWorks!
Our staff scientists and educators weave the Montana and Next Generation Science Standards into our lessons and exhibits, making this field trip experience an extension of classroom learning. Come explore with us!
Groups must have a 1 Adult to 10 Students ratio.
Field Trip Experience Menu
All levels of the field trip experience at ExplorationWorks! will include access to all of the museum’s current exhibits, including the outdoor Exploration Garden and music garden. An ExplorationWorks! staff member will welcome all field trip groups with a brief introduction to the exhibits and an outline of behavior expectations. The full format of the experience will depend on the level chosen when booking the field trip.
Level 1: Tour Experience ($3 per student)
Our basic field trip includes an introduction to our current exhibit, with a brief demonstration followed by a self-guided exploration of the science center. To further engage with the exhibits, students can complete challenges and become science detectives!
Level 2: Demo Experience ($5 per student)
Our intermediate level field trip includes a fun, engaging demonstration of phenomena highlighted by the exhibit. We also provide an orientation of the exhibits before students explore the museum.
Level 3: Laboratory Experience ($8 per student)
Looking for an interactive, hands-on activity for your students? In our premium field trip experience, our educators lead students in an experiment that engages their minds and senses! Following the lab experience, students are free to explore the exhibits.
