GRADES K-2

In the basic lesson, students will be able to use their sense of hearing to observe sounds at school and will learn the names and location of the different parts of the ear using a model of the ear.

In the advanced lesson, students will be able to use their sense of hearing to observe sounds at school using 5 different activity centers and know the location of the different parts of the ear using a model of the ear. They will also write their own version of the “Ears Hear” poem by following the example provided in the kit.

STATE STANDARDS

Standard 2: Students, through the inquiry process, demonstrate knowledge of properties, forms, changes and interactions of physical and chemical systems.

2.2 Students will be able to examine, measure, describe, compare and classify objects in terms of common physical properties.
